I had to share my exciting news...the newest Somerset Studio is out and I was fortunate enough to have an article in this issue
My altered house shrine project appears on page 38 - Nov/Dec 09 Somerset Studio
This issue is filled with yummy art-goodness and I am so psyched/honored to be included with such wonderful artists in this great magazine. I skipped & jumped with joy on my way back to the house from the mailbox :)

Art is You - Pure Magic
I am still coming down from my art high after attending, teaching and vending Art is You.
Fabulous, delicious...the words fail me as I had such a wonderful time. Met some of our great customers, met new friends and old, dear friends and of course saw amazing art!
I was fortunate to be able to take one class and just play - it was Pamela Huntington's class "Curiouser and Curiouser" art quilt and it was just superb! Once I finish it, I'll be sure to share some photos
photos, hmmm, yeah, photos...welllll...
we went with good photograph intentions...like always. But good intentons don't always cut the mustard.
Last year we forgot our camera in the craziness, this year we remembered the camera but forgot the battery in the charger at home...so alas I do not have good photos to share
BUT, I figured this was the perfect opportunity to share some links to some wonderful blogs out there, where they are much more on the ball in the photography department LOL :) This is by no means a complete list of all the wonderful folks at Art Is You - but its enough to make you drool w/ yummy art goodness...so much talent was assembled it was really quite amazing...
Suze
I finally got to meet Suze and she was a complete doll! So talented & wonderful! Her husband Lenny and my hubby made fast friends (not too many men at these retreats...always we had many more then in the past this year which was great!)
Kecia
My new BFF :) Kecia is the definition of FABULOUS. So talented, wonderful style and a sharp wit & humor that I just adored!
p.s. Kecia is also a confirmed instructor for Art in the Rough 2010 - wooohooo!!
Diane
Di is just a treasure and I was so happy to meet her. She is ultra-talented and quite funny & sweet. Despite being dead-tired, we had a lot of fun hanging out between our crazy schedules.
Jane
I just adore Jane - she is sweet and honest and a lot of fun. She is also mega-talented - beautiful work! I regret not taking her up on crashing the class reunion at the hotel and tearing up the dance floor :)
Pamela
As mentioned above, I just loved her class...and as always she had a wonderful display of artsy treats for vending. She is adorable & humble and just a really good soul. You know when you meet someone that is just a great person through and through? It doesn't happen often, but when it does you feel really lucky...Pamela is one of those folks-its just a pleasure to know her.
Terri
Cool and hip (and I'm not trying to sound corny cause its very true)...Terri is just awesome. Always has the coolest stuff and her charms & findings are amazing! I only wish we had more time to hang out because we always have a great time.
Eileen
A long-time customer and very sweet, talented woman - I was psyched to finally meet her. She did fabulous work in my Prints Charming class.
