a winter love story

Every winter,
When the great Sun has turned his face away,
The Earth goes down into a vale of grief,
And fasts, and weeps, and shrouds herself in sables,
Leaving her wedding-garlands to decay -
Then leaps in spring to his returning kisses.

winter white, winter light

the trees and skies have been especially beautiful lately on the farm
dusty, glittering branches and mottled clouds in soft colors
i find that i am strangely comforted by this winter palette

the weather outside is frightful

I had intended on simply posting a nice Happy Halloween message with my friend Jack

however...

we awoke this Halloween to a beautiful, yet frightful sight

our first snowfall

despite the white flurries - it does have an eery kind of look outside in keeping with Halloween
the gloomy grey-blue sky reminds me of the
Christopher Lee Dracula movies

FROM OUR NECK O' WOODS TO YOURS
WE WISH YOU A HAPPY HALLOWEEN
